1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using Lani ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Lani is developed and operated by Lani Studio LLC ("we," "us," "our").

2. Description of Service

Lani is a personal life management application that helps you organize and track aspects of your daily life, including tasks, routines, fitness, nutrition, health, journaling, mindfulness, finances, and personal relationships. The App is designed as a private, on-device tool that syncs across your devices via iCloud.

3. Subscriptions and Billing

Lani is available through auto-renewing subscription plans. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

Payment. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-Renewal. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period (monthly or annually) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Free Trial. If offered, the free trial period allows full access to the App at no cost. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the stated price.
Price Changes. We may change subscription prices from time to time. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing period. If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel your subscription before it renews.
Founding Member Pricing. During our founding period, subscriptions may be offered at a reduced introductory rate. If you subscribe during this period, your rate is preserved for the life of your continuous subscription as permitted by Apple's pricing policies. If you cancel and later resubscribe, the standard price at that time will apply.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided.
Refunds. All refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies.

4. Health and Fitness Disclaimer

Lani is a personal tracking and organizational tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

The health, fitness, nutrition, and mental wellbeing features in the App are for informational and self-tracking purposes only.
Information displayed in the App, including data from Apple HealthKit, should not be used as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making decisions about your health, starting a new exercise program, changing your diet, or addressing mental health concerns.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately.
Mood tracking, mental wellbeing questionnaires, and mindfulness features are self-reflection tools. They are not clinical assessments and should not be used to self-diagnose any condition.

5. Financial Information Disclaimer

The financial tracking features in Lani are for personal budgeting and organizational purposes only. The App does not provide financial advice, tax guidance, or investment recommendations. Consult a qualified financial professional for financial decisions. We are not responsible for any financial decisions you make based on information displayed in the App.

6. Your Data and Privacy

Your privacy is fundamental to Lani. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how your data is handled.

Key points:

Your data is stored on your device and synced via your personal iCloud account. We do not have access to your data.
We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data.
We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
HealthKit data is used only within the App and is never sent to third parties.

7. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Use the App only for lawful, personal purposes.
Provide accurate information when using the App's features.
Keep your device and iCloud account secure, as your data is protected by your device's security.
Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
Not use the App to store or transmit harmful, illegal, or objectionable content.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, content, and branding, is owned by Lani Studio LLC and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with Apple services including HealthKit, iCloud, Apple Music, WeatherKit, and EventKit. Your use of these services is governed by Apple's terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party services.

10. Availability and Updates

We strive to keep the App available and functional, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may release updates that change features, fix issues, or modify functionality. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of any changes.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
We are not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, iCloud sync issues, or circumstances beyond our control.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends. Sections regarding disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law survive termination.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via our website. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Georgia.
